About Ke Miao

Ke “Mico” Miao is a Board-Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM) with extensive training in both Eastern and Western medicine. She holds dual credentials as a Physician in China and a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in New York, allowing her to integrate two powerful medical traditions in her clinical approach. Mico began her medical training at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she completed eight years of rigorous education in integrated Chinese and Western medicine. After graduating, she practiced as a physician in China for five years, treating patients with a wide range of health conditions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked in a hospital setting on the front lines of patient care. This experience strengthened her belief in prevention, resilience, and the importance of supporting the body’s natural defenses. Her philosophy is rooted in the principle that Western medicine often focuses on symptoms while Chinese medicine addresses the root cause of imbalance. Through acupuncture and Chinese medicine, she works to restore the smooth flow of Qi so the body can activate its natural healing capacity. Since relocating to the United States in 2022, Mico has continued helping patients restore balance and vitality. Her clinical focus includes chronic pain, menstrual irregularities, perimenopausal hormone changes, digestive concerns, weight management, anxiety, insomnia, and post-operative recovery. Patients appreciate her thoughtful listening, calm presence, and commitment to addressing the underlying causes of health concerns. Outside the clinic, Mico maintains her own wellness through Tai Chi and Baduanjin, traditional exercises that support circulation of Qi and overall vitality. Known for her warm and optimistic spirit, she finds inspiration in nature and enjoys the quiet companionship of her two cats.
