About Dr. Keith Michaels
Keith Michaels, AuD, Doctor of Audiology and Hearing Instrument Specialist, comes from a family of hearing care professionals. The Michaels family includes six members working across seven different locations throughout the Los Angeles area. Keith earned his Master's degree from California State University, Los Angeles, where renowned audiologists Dr. Miles Peterson and Dr. Peter Ivory guided him through his graduate work. He then went on to acquire his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida's premiere audiology program. Over the past several years, Keith has helped fit thousands of people with hearing aids and enjoys working with individuals experiencing balance issues and vertigo.

I'm so happy I lucked into finding Dr. Michaels for my dad's hearing aid testing and hearing aids. Dr. Michaels was extremely compassionate, professional, and gave me such important and knowledgeable information about my dad's hearing problems. His hearing testing was very in-depth, something I have never experienced with other hearing aid testings I've taken my dad to in the past. I highly recommend Dr. Michaels!

He was concise, caring, and most importantly he listened to what I had to say. I suspected SSNHL, but the Audiogram suggested otherwise. What really impressed me was that he called other ENTs to try to squeeze me in that afternoon, as well as asking them their opinion on the results. I’ve never seen a doctor that put in as much effort as Dr. Michaels. Highly recommended, these reviews ain’t fake.

Everything was timely and professional. Dr. Michaels & staff were excellent. Dr. Michaels even accommodated my schedule for a follow up appointment. Not knowing what to expect for a "balance test" I couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience and I am critical of the medical field.

I called to make an appointment and they fit me in the same day. My audiologist, Chad, explained things well and guided me through all the hearing test. Afterwards, he explained the charts to me and we talked about what remedies we might consider later. The charts were sent to my ENT specialist for a follow-up appointment. After that, it may be that I return to American Hearing and Balance to find proper hearing aids. I appreciate there are resources like these to help.

I arrived a bit early to the MDR office. Keith Michaels was thorough and sympathetic throughout the appointment. Overall, would recommend highly to anyone looking for a hearing test or having hearing issues of any kind.

Overall a great experience. Dr. Michaels was unable to determine my issue unfortunately as it was the first time he's ever heard of someone with my symptoms.
I very much disliked the office format itself. The waiting room is right next to the patients room and because all of the doors are left open I could HEAR EVERYTHING the patient before me was saying. It was as if I was in the room with the patient before me.

When I came in..there were 2 employees behind the desk. I was first but an older gentleman made his way in first and got seen to. No one acknowledged that I was even in the room..no hello or anything which I thought was rather rude. I was there for 10-15 minutes before someone asked if I had an appointment! From then on everyone was rather pleasant.

Ever since I've had contact with Dr. Michaels he has been very patient, he's a very nice gentlemen, and he does everything with grace. Dr. Michaels is extremely well qualified with hearing aids and especially with the patient. So I recommend him to anyone that has hearing problems.

I just want to let everyone know how fantastic Dr. Michaels is. I've been going to him for the last 3-4 years. is results are accurate and he has a great knowledge in the field of audiology. He is an excellent physician!

I find that Dr. Michaels is very understanding and tries to do the best he can in any circumstances especially with me trying to know exactly what my problem was with my hearing aid. The service has been fantastic and thats why I would give him the greatest possible recommendation.
