Kellie is a dual board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner having obtained her education at Chamberlain University and Regis College. She received honors during her educational career and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, Phi Pi Chapter. My journey to mental healthcare
Kellie was attracted to a career in psychiatry as she found the subject matter interesting during nursing school and began working at a local crisis stabilization unit. She sees the positive impact that medication can make on patients' lives which drives her to continue helping others.

NP Furlow was amazing. She listened intently when I spoke to her, was very patient and understanding, and I did not feel she was rushing me through the appointment like sometimes happens at doctor's appointments. She explained everything to me clearly and thoroughly, and made sure any questions or concerns that I had were addressed. I also appreciated that she made herself available to me even after our appointment, and let me know if anything else came up I could contact her.

Kellie is truly exceptional. As a medical student, I've had the opportunity to observe many physicians and countless patient interactions within the healthcare system. Now, experiencing things from the patient’s perspective, I can confidently say that the level of care Kellie provided was unlike anything I’ve encountered.
She went above and beyond — taking the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions and making sure I felt heard, supported, and genuinely valued as a patient. Her responsiveness was also incredible; she replied to my messages promptly and with care.
