Getting to know Kelsey Lonergan

Kelsey Lonergan, PMHNP, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults throughout Missouri through secure telehealth visits. Her approach is structured, practical, and focused on helping patients gain clarity, improve daily functioning, and maintain long-term stability. She works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and related psychiatric concerns through thoughtful evaluation, individualized treatment planning, and consistent follow-up care. Kelsey values collaboration and works closely with patients, and when appropriate, their therapists, to ensure treatment plans remain coordinated, effective, and aligned with each patient's goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe effective psychiatric care begins with understanding the full picture, not just symptoms, but how those symptoms affect your daily life, relationships, work, and overall well-being. My approach is collaborative and focused on helping patients gain clarity about what they are experiencing and what treatment options may help. I encourage questions, open communication, and active participation in the treatment process so we can develop a plan that feels practical and achievable. My goal is to help patients feel informed, supported, and confident as they work toward greater stability, improved functioning, and meaningful progress over time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Typical Process for Working with Clients * Collaborative Investigation: We move beyond surface symptoms to understand the history and "drivers" of your distress. * Diagnostic Clarity (The Co-Evaluation): If you are already in therapy, Kelsey provides a "medical lens" to your care, syncing with your therapist to ensure your medication and talk-therapy goals are aligned. * Function-First Treatment: We don't just target a diagnosis; we target your ability to work, relate, and function daily. * Stability & Maintenance: Ongoing care focuses on maintaining your "baseline" with the lowest effective dose and consistent, scheduled follow-ups.
