My path to becoming a psychiatric mental nurse practitioner wasn't a straight one, I took the long road, working in various fields before finding my true calling in nursing. It wasn't until I spent time as a nursing student working with mental health patients that everything changed for me. I knew then that this is where I was meant to be, and I've never looked back. I take a collaborative approach to goal setting, ensuring that we establish realistic and meaningful steps toward improving your mental health. During your first session, we will take time to explore your concerns, medical and mental health history, and what you hope to achieve. This will help lay the foundation for your treatment plan that aligns with your values and lifestyle.

I scheduled this appointment and the app indicated my insurance was accepted. Then I got a message through the app that it wasn’t, but my appointment was still scheduled, and I continued to get requests for pre-appointment information. I then logged into the app and it said that my insurance was accepted and that the provider would contact me with an appointment link. I never received any such link nor communication from the app nor the provider. I searched my emails on the day of and up to the appointment. I called the number provided about 5 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. I was only able to leave a message. I’ve since rescheduled with another provider, but have not received any correspondence about what went wrong in the wake of the appointment that didn’t happen.
