In my free time, I enjoy fishing, kayaking, and traveling, which further enriches my understanding of the human experience and enhances my practice as a mental health professional. I have a strong passion for mental health care. I strive to enhance the quality of life for my patients by addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline, while also collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care. In addition, I have a special interest in ADHD, working closely with adults to develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique challenges. I am committed to educating patients and their families about ADHD, promoting understanding and effective management strategies.
I approach goal setting with patients by first engaging in a thorough discussion to understand their individual needs, values, and aspirations. Together, we identify specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals that align with their journey. This collaborative process not only empowers patients to take an active role in their treatment but also helps ensure that the goals are meaningful and motivating. Regular check-ins and adjustments to these goals are also part of the process, allowing for flexibility and growth as needed.
