UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy.
I open an initial session by saying, "How can I help you?" This helps to set the tone of the rest of the interview. As we later talk about medication, I always ask, "What works for you?" Patients will almost always tell me that no other physician has ever asked them that question. I go on to say that they are the only source I have to consider what medication to prescribe. Finally, they tell me how to treat them. I often ask patients what kind of a doctor they would like me to be, especially if they are speaking about previous bad interactions. Their relationship with me is of primary importance to the therapeutic process.

I see patients through UpLift. When you create your profile, you will input your insurance information and the team will reach out with your copay amount. If you do not have insurance, I also take cash pay clients. The UpLift team will work directly with you to inform you of payments due. The prices for visits are dependent on your co-pay amount through your insurance. If you are a cash-pay client, our price ranges from $75 to $145 per visit.
