Verified Patient Reviews
Dr Peterson is very nice and listened to/answered to all of my questions. She was kind and professional. The nurse was very friendly and extremely gentle when she took my blood - barely felt the needle enter my arm! I highly recommend!
Dr. Peterson was so pleasant. I felt super comfortable to speak to her and open up to her. I’ve had a hard time finding a PCP in the city and I’m so glad I finally found her. I was taken in right away and barely had to wait to be seen which has not been the case for me visiting drs. In the city.
I arrived slightly early to complete new patient paperwork and was taken back on time- very impressive for last appointment of the day! Dr. Peterson was friendly and efficient, without making me feel like she was rushing. Her assistant was also friendly and informative. Zero complaints!
It is my incalculable privilege to have had the benefit of Dr. Peterson's medical attention for going on six years now. All-around professional excellence in her practice, imho.... and I am not aging very quickly, thanks to her timely advice regarding my diet and exercise activity!
I went for my annual physical, and Dr. Peterson is very polite, thorough and has kind bedside manner. The best part was I was taken in right away which is great compared to other doctors offices that have you waiting forever. I'd recommend her, definitely.
Dr. Peterson is efficient, has great bedside manner and a wonderful internist. Highly recommended.
Lovely , fast and great experience every time!
I appreciated her approach to dealing with a potential issue with my blood pressure- very thoughtful and wanted to do further investigating & follow up before going straight to medication.
Dr Peterson and staff were professional and personable
Dr. Peterson was very friendly and took the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. Her assistant was also very kind and gentle (didn't notice when they drew blood!)
Everything went smoothly. Dr. Peterson was very friendly and open. I didn't have to wait long at all to be seen. The nurse, Amelia, was very friendly, too. She was gentle when drawing blood.
Terrible bedside manners. Her assistant followed up by phone (she did not bother calling herself) and I had to insist twice for my blood results and over the counter recommendation to be emailed to me. I don't feel like I could trust her. She clearly does not care about her patients.
I went to see Dr. Peterson for an annual physical. It was my first time. She was wonderful and it was a great experience. She was very thorough and I am so glad I found her on ZOC DOC. The office was very nice and the staff great. I didn't wait at all and everything I had hoped for was met.
My wife and I both had appointments with Dr. Peterson. We arrived 30 minutes late for our appointment however Dr. Peterson's staff was very understanding and accommodating as we were still able to be seen at the time we walked in.
Dr. Keri Peterson was very knowledgable about my test results and had good reccomendations on how to approch my ailments.
Dr. Peterson and her staff are excellent. It was my first time visiting and Dr. Peterson did a full exam and went fully through my history. She listened and was patient. She had great bedside manner and I felt comfortable speaking to her. Amelia, the nurse practitioner was lovely as well. I will definitely be back!
I was very happy with my visit to Dr. Peterson's office. I am most certainly looking forward to coming back. She was very attentative to all of my concerns, and gave great feedback. I think I have finally found a reliable Doctor!!
Dr. Peterson was very friendly and prompt. I had a very short wait time every step of the way and Dr. Peterson and her staff were competent and professional. I had a quick and painless (minus the shot) visit
Dr. Petersen was friendly and attentive. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed, listened to all my concerns.
I only saw her once, but in my experience Dr. Peterson was condescending, dismissive, and in a hurry to finish my appointment as quickly as possible. Because my regular PCP was on maternity leave, I booked an appointment with Dr. Peterson for a check up and to discuss some pain I'd been having. She was pleasant at first, but after I told her about some of the symptoms I'd been having, she cut me off and said she only wanted to hear about confirmed diagnoses. Apparently my health concerns didn't warrant a visit with her; she grew visibly annoyed and asked why I'd booked an appointment with an internist and not a PCP (she is listed on ZocDoc as both). Then, once she found out that I take medication for anxiety, she dismissed all of my physical health concerns as anxiety and asked if I was in therapy. Look – I understand that anxious people tend to ruminate and obsess over insignificant health concerns, but the way she belittled me and my symptoms left me feeling angry, confused, and humiliated. I got a full blood panel done and a week later she called and left a message. She said that everything looked normal. However, since I had such a bad experience with her in person, I called the office and requested a copy of the results so I could see for myself. In fact, everything was NOT normal and one of the tests revealed a moderate vitamin deficiency. If I hadn't called to get my results, I wouldn't have known that I had this deficiency that was likely causing my fatigue. I am so happy to have taken my results to a different doctor who actually listens and cares about me.
Dr. Peterson was friendly and direct. I liked her and will definitely be coming back.
Dr. Peterson is always so professional and down to earth. She listens intently and is always direct and to the point. Great bedside manner.
Dr. Peterson has been my primary for about five years now, and I just feel so fortunate to have made such a good choice, thanks to ZocDoc!
Dr. Peterson was great. She was quick, professional and very thorough. I will absolutely be going back to her again!
Very friendly and engaged. I was a new patient and will go back.
She seemed very knowledgeable but was not the warmest doctor I've ever met. Will continue to see her.
Dr Peterson is super calm, informative and attentive. She makes great suggestions and her exams are very thorough. I was seen right away after checking in and the new offices are very clean and nice!
Thought she was terrific explained things and was very complete in her exam. I was very happy to have her as my doctor
Dr. Peterson was friendly and took her time getting to know me. I am happy to have found her as my physician. Thank You!
I seriously love Dr. Peterson. I left my visit with her feeling hopeful and happy after she gave me advice about my health. She listened and was so kind and funny and personable.
She listened, was sympathtic but straightforward and solution oriented. Everything about the visit was exactly what I wanted and much more.
I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of Dr. Peterson and the office staff.
Great! Very personable, efficient and thorough. Highly recommended.
Fast and Efficient!
Very seamless appointment. New location for Dr. Peterson, but everything else was as consistently good as it has been in the past!
Friendly, professional and efficient! Couldn't as for more.
I really liked Dr. Peterson and I plan seeing her as way doctor
Dr. Peterson was so sweet and enjoyable to work with. Despite a long wait she was incredibly efficient and overall a fantastic doctor!!! I will be making her my pcp.
Dr. Peterson was attentive, caring and listened to what I had to say. She was kind and gave great advice. Id recommend her to anyone looking for a good doctor.
My sister-in-law referred me to Dr. Peterson. Dr. Peterson spent about a half hour with me during my appointment. She struck me as extremely bright with a quick mind and a compassionate "bedside manner." She was patient and was a good listener beyond most doctors. Jen (Nurse) was a total sweetheart as well. I've never had someone take my blood as quickly or easily as she did, and she had me laughing the whole time. I would recommend Dr. Peterson to anyone seeking a new GP.
She listens, is caring and easy to talk to. Great Doctor.
The office was nice and clean and I have no direct problem with Dr. Keri Peterson however i did feel like a five minute job. This was my annual physical and while I did not have any impending issues, I had both written to the office ahead of time and discussed some history with the Dr., she took notes rapidly and not much else. The main problem I had was the blood drawing and the follow up. The drawing was unnecessarily painful with a less than skillful nurse attempting to find a vein twisting and turning the needle in my arm. I have been seeing specialists for the last couple of months in which I've had to have blood drawn and had no such issues, so there is no excuse such as my veins not being visible. I've also requested the office to send me my test results 2x now to no avail, still waiting for this to materialize.
Dr. Peterson was pleasant and helpful as always. She also was very helpful with recommendations for a dermatologist and a specialist.
Dr. Peterson is such a delight! She answers all your questions and very easy to talk to. Also, her team of nurses is wonderful and take great care of patients.
Dr Keri is warm and personable. She is great and answered all my questions with ease.
Dr. Peterson is rude and doesn't respect her patients. After seeing her, which was ok in person, it's been almost a month and we have yet to connect on my blood results. She is always unavailable when I call, refuses to schedule a time to chat, and is generally unavailable during the day or not. In fact, I mostly get a voicemail machine, not even the receptionist. It's hard when you are also a professional working during the day, trying to connect between your own meetings and the doctor won't even schedule a time with you to talk to you. When I did receive a voicemail from Dr. Peterson, she explained that she can't schedule calls because she puts her patients first. Um, ok, but I'm a patient too right? I am looking for my results so I can understand next steps. How that doesn't make me a patient, I don't understand. Further, she apparently writes for Women's Health magazine, and as a national magazine editor myself, I'd be horrified to know that the "expert" I'm featuring monthly is this unprofessional and rude to her patients. I can't wait until I run into someone from Women's Health so I can let them know. I would never recommend this doctor.
Dr. Peterson and her team are amazing. Highly recommend this practice.
Very professional and efficient.
She was polite, quick and efficient which is always needed in NYC.
I am always apprehensive about going to the doctor, but Keri was fantastic. Super smart and sweet - very willing to help. Can't wait to see her again!
Terrible!!! I can't even begin to explain how awful my experience was with Dr. Peterson. She was rushed, inattentive, and practices out of date medical practices. She is clearly more interested in selling her botox (FYI she is a general MD) than in good primary care medicine. To make matters worse they insisted on sending laboratory work from the office....had to have me come back 2 times to give my sample because they lost it....and then sent it to a lab that was not accepted by my insurance. Multiple attempts to contact Dr. Peterson were not answered. I can't begin to tell you how frustrated I am with this office. Please stay just....STAY AWAY!!!!
Very personable and professional. Highly recommend Dr. Peterson!
I saw some reviews about her personality, but I liked her. She was very nice and also very quick.
She was quick yet thorough. Made me feel extremely comfortable considering I haven't had a primary care doctor since I was 13 years old. Very clean office and rooms. Friendly reception. Very easy visit! Got my results back in less than a few days!
I was a little nervous before my first visit because 1-2 negative reviews on ZocDoc stuck in my mind. However, I was pleasantly surprised that those negative reviews were far from true. Dr. Peterson was really warm and friendly, very thorough, very professional, and answered all of the questions I had. She was punctual and I did not wait long for my appointment at all. I would definitely recommend her, and I will be a returning patient as well.
She was great and really cared about my well being on a personal level by taking the time to speak about my health in detail.
I thought she was really nice and polite.. I recently moved from CT to NYC and my doctor in CT does not take the insurance provided by my new job which was super disappointing as that was my doctor most of my life (I'm 27) so I came to meet with Dr. Peterson as a first visit she was very polite with great bedside manner. I'm definitely looking for a doctor who will take the time to really get to know me as a patient like the relationship I had with my previous doctor - that I didn't really get from her, but none the less I would recommend Dr. Peterson for sure! She's also the director of the practice and I saw an article in the office she writes in Women's health Magazine. The office is really nice and at a great location right next to the 4,5,6 line beautiful building etc.
I chose Peterson as my new primary care doctor based on these reviews. Now that I've had a couple of visits with her, I can't seem to agree with any of these five star reviews. The office and medical staff have been efficient and pleasant to work with in my opinion. Minus one visit where the nurse/med assistant had ragged, dirty nails. I know it may be a minor slip up but it was so disturbing to see as she was taking my blood with her bare hands. Anyway, inside the exam room with Dr Pererson has been so disappointing. As some Yelp reviewers mentioned but no one here seemed to touch on, Peterson seems grossly disinterested in me as a patient and/or a person. I get physical exams on a healthy person are probably not the most thrilling but she seems to have no personality or interest in talking. I love talking about health/nutrition/lifestyle choices/research, or just ask questions, but she's so dry. Which is odd for someone whose self-promotion hits you every time you walk into a new room. You would think she was passionate or would want to connect with her patients. But no, she just wants you to read her monthly articles, watch her videos and like her on Facebook, without giving anything back. I wouldn't even mind that she's selling her Botox-offerings so hard; I would actually like to discuss fillers with her if she wasn't so unapproachable. I wouldn't even recommend her to a friend who needed to be treated for a cold. I am definitely switching to a new primary care doctor asap!
Dr. Peterson is very professional but easy to talk to. She and her team made me feel very comfortable and kindly helped me when I became a bit faint from having blood drawn. The office is very organized. I waited less than 4 minutes for my appointment.
Dr Peterson herself is a true professional and her staff is courteous and efficient. I highly recommend this office.
Very quick, professional. The staff was very friendly, and Dr. Peterson was professional and amicable.
She was very thorough and very professional. I would highly recommend her and her practice. Very clean and welcoming office.
The internist who did my basic vitals was EXCELLENT, especially due to my fear/issue with getting blood drawn. Dr. Peterson was helpful and very nice and professional as usual. Wait time was minimal which was very helpful as I came to my physical during work hours and needed to be in and out.
Dr. Peterson is very cordial and quick to get the proper diagnosis and medication. She also has a wide network of specialists that she can recommend for any issue. That said, she is very down-to-business; your visits will be short. She also does not remember repeat patients or read your charts before seeing you. Pros: she knows what she's doing and won't waste your time. Also, the front desk workers and nurses are friendly and competent.
Very professional, thorough. Staff was nice. Her nurse can administer some shots & draw blood. I'm comfortable with my visit and the office location in general. I will and have recommended Dr. Peterson.
Very friendly and professional:)
Dr. Peterson was attentive, friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!
She was very kind and friendly. I felt very comfortable with her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone. The appointment was thorough but quick and the staff was very nice.
Keri is a very friendly doctor, but unfortunately she lacked the expertise I was hoping for. I will be seeking a new generalist now.
Keri is awesome, she was funny, professional, and I would definitely go back.
I really can't song her praises enough. I never want to have another primary care doctor for as long as I live. She is so perfect. Always makes me feel comfortable, always is attentive to my needs, and genuinely listens when I have health questions or concerns. You'd be very fortunate if you are able to snag her as your doctor.
Fantastic. Very professional and knowledgable.
Dr. Peterson is great! She asks the right questions, is direct and answers any other questions you may have. The wait time is always minimal in the waiting room and in the examination room.
She was fabulous! I am so happy I found her
Highly professional and impressively punctual. As a new patient I was very pleased and I intend on continuing to use Dr. Peterson as my primary care physician.
It was the best doctor's visit I had ever. She's really comfortable to talk to and from what I've seen with all her publications,is really good in her field.Already recommended to a friend.
This is the second time I have seen her and I was pretty disappointed. I left more confused than I went in.
I found her to be judgmental and disengaged. She just did not get me. It seems she is more interested in being a cosmetic dermatologist then the primary care doctor she is listed as. She was not helpful, and I was not able to take care of the specific medical issues I had actually come in for.
Dr. Peterson is nice, the office is clean, etc. The staff is not great...they can be rude and are generally unhelpful. Wait times are reasonable (5-15 minutes).
Dr. Peterson is the best. She is helpful and thoughtful, asks all the right questions and gives a thorough exam. She is the best doctor I have found in NYC
Great visit. Staff was very nice.
Felt at ease and relaxed
Excellent across the board!!!
Amazing and friendly. Over all positive experience
She seems very sweet, and very knowledgeable. Not as talkative as i would like. Also waited about 30 minutes on the table waiting for her to come in... Kinda long. But worth it!
Dr. Peterson is very personable and has a kind yet matter of fact bedside manner. The desk staff and assistants are very welcoming and kind.
Staff was friendly, facility was well kept, Keri was very friendly. I'd go back!
She's awesome. I have very complicated issues and she has always been there to help me through them--even if I have had to walk in the office. She's truly an awesome dr.: especially when it counts the most.
I had to call back THREE times for my bloodwork results.
She's a great doctor, no wait time and very willing to answer questions
Met or exceeded all expectations.
She made me feel extremely comfortable ! Would recommend to anyone. -Christine
Easy going, quick appointment, on time
I love Dr. Keri. She's the bees knees.
Great bedside manner. Unfortunately I live in Queens and the commute is too far for me.
She is fantastic. She explained everything and I am so happy she was able to talk me as a new patient.
Slightly cold at first, but warmed up after some conversation. Nice & caring doc
She seemed nice enough, but stand off-ish and didn't spend much time with me. I asked about birth control and she wouldn't give any advice or didn't seem to know anything about it. She also had me sign a waiver saying she wouldn't give any bc advice... I'm guessing for liability reasons? It didn't feel right that your primary doctor wouldn't advise you on birth control or about being a woman. She also had flyers all over her exam room about Botox, which I guess is fine, but also says to me that she's looking to pad her pockets with Botox clients instead of working on real health issues. It just seemed to me that my doctor, if she did find anything wrong with me, probably just would have referred me to another (specialist) doctor.
Dr. Peterson was very prompt, professional and courteous. She made me feel comfortable instantly - something that doesn't happen often when you're a new patient sharing your medical history.
not friendly at all (almost just downright rude). not going back.
Thorough, efficient and willing to take the time to explain what I needed to know. Glad I found her.
She is professional, compassionate and human - qualities that don't ususlly go together in the medical profession. She is also thorough and intelligent I love her.
It was a pretty routine pre-op check-up so not much to report. Everybody was very professional efficient.
Very personable, kind and genuine. Felt very comfortable with her.
Dr. Peterson is very professional, asks plenty of questions and rarely keeps you waiting. The waiting room is very nice and staff are pleasant.
I was seen immediately and the front desk staff was nice. Credit where credit is due, but typically the wait is long and the staff are rude. Not this time, though, so good job!
Exceeded my expectations!
I went in for a regular annual check up. Keri was pleasant (not unusually nice, but certainly not gruff) and efficient. I didn't feel like the exam was extremely thorough, but I consider myself to be very healthy so I'm not sure what I was expecting. As an aside, the office is in a very nice building which is nice in case you have to wait. I arrived at 9:25 for a 9:30 appointment and was greeted by a nurse at 9:30 on-the-dot.
Good experience. In and out.
Very efficient and direct, which was definitely appriciated. Also highly knowledgable and solution driven, which was refreshing to say the least.
Very nice visit - she listened to everything I had to say and seemed very knowledgeable. Also offered some great sound advice. Will definitely return.
Went for a physical. Quick but efficient. Had blood work results back in less than 24 hours. Dr. Peterson called me herself with the results.
Professional, Efficient, and helpful.
Dr. Peterson was great, I had very little to no wait time and was able to ask anything I needed to. The nurse who took my blood was also great, very simple and easy. Would recommend!!
Dr Peterson was nice, competent and straight to the point.
Dr. Peterson is professional, friendly an takes her time to ask questions and do a proper exam. My best experience with a Primary Care Doctor in NYC
Dr. Peterson and staff are excellent, highly recommended, and very professional.
Keri was extremely nice and addressed all concerns i had quickly and professionally. One of the best experiences that i have had with a doctor. Doesnt hurt that she is beautiful either
She was excellent. Very professional and kind.
I was a little surprised at Dr. Peterson's abrupt manner. Because of all the positive reviews explaining how she is thorough and caring, I figured I wouldn't have to do the typical "self-diagnosis" before going into her office. I thought that there would be a conversation. I started by explaining that I've been coming off a cold, but I've been so exhausted that I think it's more than that. She was dismissive, patronizing, and a bit condescending. She insisted that it was just a cold and I should "eat more vegetables".Before I was finished explaining all my symptoms she was walking out the door and I was still trying to talk to her. The next day, knowing that something wasn't right, I went to another doctor. It turned out I had a UTI and was quickly given medication. I started feeling better within a day. I'm glad I didn't trust this doctor (and sorry I wasted my time)and let the infection get worse. She wasn't terrible. If I had gone in there knowing for certain what I had, I'm sure she would've helped me. I just felt that she was dismissive and patronizing, making me feel stupid for going to the doctor in the first place. She didn't seem interested in listening to me, and literally, just wanted to get out the door. I guess if you know exactly what is wrong with you then she is fine. If you actually want to talk to your doctor about what may be wrong , then she probably isn't the best doctor for you.
The doctor and the staff was very polite.
I couldn't ask for a better doctor.
Professional and friendly Dr. and staff
Not to be cheesy; but everything about her is sweet, pleasant, and accurate. Can't wait to see her again
My visit to Dr. Peterson was excellent as usual. Why do you ask? Are you trying to destroy a perfectly wonderful professional Dr./Patient relationship for your own gain? I'm not a coward. Dr. Peterson is receptive to everything I tell her. If I have something to say, I will tell HER.
Was seen right as I finished my paperwork. Nurse was sensitive to my fear of needles while doing my bloodwork. Doctor Peterson did an excellent first consultation and have me the perfect referral to further diagnosis my stomach issues. Would definitely recommend!
She's fairly nice but it doesn't seem like she really cares about you or your well being. I felt a bit rushed and like she was trying to get me out of there as fast as possible with prescriptions. There wasn't much dialogue. This style may be ideal for some people but it just doesn't work for me.
It was good, she was patient and did not seem in a hurry. It was my first visit, so we`ll see how it goes in the future. Thus far I feel good about choosing to see her. After filling out the paperwork, since it was my first time,in less than 15 mins, I was ushered in.
Very nice and willing to hear if I had any concerns.
Dr. Peterson was ok. She is obviously a very competent physician but I felt that she really didn't care about me or my concerns. I felt like just another patient in a mill.
Dr. Peterson was excellent. I went for a first time visit and annual physical and she took a lot of time to get my medical history and address my concerns...very smart and professional. I would reccomend her to any of my friends/family. Office staff was also great!
Highly recommended, very knowledgeable, personable, and eager to help.
After reading some differing reviews, I was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism of both the staff and Dr. Peterson. I felt very comfortable and at ease with the entire experience. I have no hesitation in going back to see her if/when necssary.
She was very professional! I would definitely recommend her
I didn't think this doctor was very patient or helpful. She seemed annoyed by my questions about health concerns outside the scope of my appointment. I did get test results right away, but I was called back by an assistant. When I requested Dr. Peterson call me back, I again heard back from the assistant, not Dr. Peterson.
My first visit to Dr. Peterson was a great experience, especially in comparison to my visits with other NYC doctors. I was seen quickly, everything was explained to me, but mostly Dr. Peterson was very friendly and put me at ease. she answered my questions and responded to me about my test results within 24 hours. the office staff could use work, but that's not really my concern.
