Consider somewhere else if you’re Transgender!Overall, it was a very basic doctors office experience, everyone was friendly and for the most part it flowed like a regular appointment! But, any time anything revolving around me being trans came up, there was a lot of confusion, partly since some of the people I spoke with I think English was their second language so it was a bit harder to explain.THEY ALL SPEAK CHINESE SO IF THATS A PLUS, GO HERE!Most notably, when I provided my NYCID where my gender is marked M, and put my sex as female, there was a lot of confusion. They ended up telling me to bring another ID that has my assigned gender next time but that it was fine for today.My Doctor was nice enough. He seemed knowledgeable and the visit was seamless. I have a lot of health concerns that I brought up and he was a little dismissive, but still helpful. It was mostly me bringing something up, not a lot of dialogue about different possibilities, but referring me to specialists anyway.

He wouldn’t let me leave until I had discussed any and all of my health concerns with him. I’ve never had the experience of having a doctor, insisting on hearing everything going on no matter how much time it takes.
They did not rush you at all and really tried their best to help you with everything that they could. Amazing experience.

This is one of those times I can't wait to leave a review because of how terrific my experience was. Dr. Moy was awesome! very patient and engaging. And answered all my questions, with care.
The nurses (Alley and Amy) and front staff (Winnie and Michelle) were equally as amazing!! They were all so accommodating and preemptively ensuring the entire process went smoothly, everything was answered and explained sometimes before even asking.
It was a super friendly, warm experience that reminds me how big a difference we can all have on one another.
Highly recommend seeing Dr. Kevin Moy! And the wonderful people at the Charles B. Wang health center.
