Dr. Karbasi completed her undergraduate studies at Ryerson University in Toronto, where she earned her degree in Civil Engineering. As a Civil Engineer in Canada, she was exposed to the impact of healthcare on her surrounding community. Because of this, she decided to change her career and pursue medicine. She completed her second bachelor's degree in biology at Boston University. After shadowing several specialties, podiatry stood out as one that offered her the chance to positively impact every patient on a daily basis. Dr. Karbasi then attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree and rotated through some of the top healthcare facilities in New York City. While attending school, she was inducted into the prestigious Pi Mu Delta National Service Society. Upon graduation, she completed her residency at Atlantic Health System, Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ, the official healthcare partner of the New York Jets. She served as chief resident in her final year. This residency was dedicated to all facets of podiatric medicine, allowing residents to gain extensive skill and knowledge. During her training, Dr. Karbasi performed over 1,200 surgical procedures focused on foot and ankle ailments, including complex reconstruction of the lower extremity. After residency, Dr. Karbasi began practicing in Ohio, where she continued to serve others. She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board qualified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Additionally, she holds certifications in arthroscopic surgery of the foot and ankle. Dr. Karbasi is excited to be a Floridian and is eager to serve the great community here.
