About Dr. Kim Hoang

Dr. Kim Hoang was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and at the age of 5, her Vietnamese parents moved to Houma, Louisiana. She was in a couple of motor vehicle accidents at the ages of 8 and 13, where she did not receive any treatment for her injuries. Over time, her lower back developed pain during her teenage years, and she never understood why. As it turned out, she developed disc herniations. Dr. Kim also developed a couple of disc herniations in her neck during an accident in 2012. Dr. Kim Hoang attended Louisiana State University in 1995, where she knew she wanted to be a doctor. She saw a chiropractor in the New Orleans area who helped her with her low back pain, and she knew that's what she wanted to be. In 2000, she graduated from Parker University in Dallas, Texas, earning both her Bachelor's degree and Doctor of Chiropractic. She also completed her internship and earned a Certificate in Acupuncture at Parker University. Since 2001, she has been practicing in the New Orleans area. Dr. Kim is the owner of Hoang Chiropractic Center/Disc Center of America in Metairie and Gretna and is passionate about working with patients with disc herniations and neuropathy. She is a member of the Disc Center of America. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and being a tourist in the town where she was born and loves-New Orleans!
