She has special interest in lactation and completed over 90 hours of training. She also has instruction in child and adult psychiatry. Along with her Spanish Water Dog, Luna, Dr. Palmieri competed in obedience, agility and animal-assisted therapy. She also partakes in hiking, biking, yoga and traveling in her spare time.
