About Dr. Kiran Mian
Dr. Kiran Mian is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in all things hair, skin, and nails. With a passion for total body wellness and science over trends, she expertly manages medical skin conditions with a holistic approach to educate her patients and improve their overall quality of life.
After graduating cum laude from Rutgers University, Dr. Mian earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ. A student by day and Sephora cosmetic consultant by night, she and a chemist friend founded a dermatological interest group that conceptualized a newsletter called The Healthy Glow. Coupling cosmetic trends with skincare resources and education, The Healthy Glow was circulated among community clinics in the New Jersey area. Dr. Mian then headed to southern California to specialize in dermatology at Western University. Now, she’s back on the eastcoast, practicing boutique-style medicine.
Committed to the field of dermatology, Dr. Mian serves as a volunteer faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai University, mentoring and teaching dermatology residents in-training. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and an active member of the Women’s Dermatology Society. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Dr. Mian is also an active member of Girls with Goals Who Give, a professional networking organization designed for professional development and giving back to our community.
Dr. Mian’s love for exploration and travel has led her to accomplish multiple medical missions throughout the globe. From working at the Leprosy Center in the capital of Ethiopia to orphanages in the outskirts of Tegucigalpa in Honduras, Dr. Mian’s passion for philanthropy drives her quest to learn more in the field of dermatology, push boundaries, and better serve her patients.

I went in today for hormonal acne I have been suffering from for years. Doctor Mian and her assistant Jenna were both kind and knowledgeable. I felt heard (finally!!!) and they made me feel like they were honestly interested in helping me clear my skin. I have new prescriptions for my issue and a follow up appointment in 6 weeks. I am taking Dr. Mian’s suggestion and getting a facial in 2 weeks from their onsite estitrician. In the past I had dermatologists tell me to keep doing what I am doing and send me on my way! Not this office. They offered me options and additional solutions to my problem. I am looking forward to seeing results. Thank you!

I don’t feel that I was thoroughly assessed and asked about my skin concerns. I was simply screened by the doctor and she suggested a laser treatment. Candidly, the experience felt a bit fake, quick, and profit-driven versus a genuine and empathetic interaction. I had higher hopes, but the staff and office itself were nice.

I went to Dr.Mian based on all the positive reviews but unfortunately, I didn't have quite the same experience. While the office was very clean and she seemed knowledgeable and nice, during my appointment she felt very rushed which was especially surprising given I was the first appointment of the day. Furthermore, based on her examination she decided to perform a small procedure, but I was not asked if I had any questions or wanted to move forward with the procedure, and was very taken aback (so much so I almost fainted). While I hope (and it seems like) my experience is the outlier, I thought it was important to share my experience with other potential patients.
