About Dr. kirk kaupke
Kirk F. Kaupke, OD focuses on the restoration of vision in patients with complicated corneal disease (i.e keratoconus) with the use of specialty contact lenses. He is able to fit patients with specialty contacts lenses that allow for better vision and comfort than traditional soft contacts. Dr. Kaupke also has a strong interest in the treatment and management of dry eye syndrome.
Dr. Kaupke graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Biochemistry. His passion for healthcare lead him to continue his education at the Arizona College of Optometry where he graduated with Beta Sigma Kappa honors. Dr. Kaupke had the opportunity to work at the Ernest Childers Veteran Affairs Clinic in Tulsa, OK and Bowden Eye Associates in Jacksonville, FL before moving to New York in 2014. Since that time he has dedicated his time to providing comprehensive eye exams, with a special focus on dry eye disease and specialty contact lens consultations.

I scheduled an appointment for an eye exam. Doctor saw me right away, virtually no wait time. Everyone was very nice and happy to answer any questions I had. Was in and out in 30 minutes.

Dr. Kirk was awesome. He was concerned about the long term health of my eyes not just the immediate as I am a bad contact lens wearer and try to stretch out my contacts. He gave me samples of daily’s as well as monthly’s to see which was a better fit for me. Super helpful and patient and easy to talk to.

Excellent doctor - 10/10. But their booking system (outside of zocdoc) gave me the wrong address, and phone number so I had to catch a cab and arrived late. The doc refunded the fare which was excellent though.
