About Krista Turner
Krista Turner, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and holds certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2012 and has built a career primarily in critical care. Early in her career, Krista gained valuable experience at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and later at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital in Houston, Texas. While working at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, she recognized the significant need for primary care and how basic primary care education and accountability could prevent irreversible complications and hospitalizations. Motivated by this, Krista returned to the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on family medicine in 2019. During this time, living in the Fresno, TX area with her family, she noticed that although nearby communities like Pearland and Missouri City had numerous medical practices, Fresno lacked primary care clinics for its residents. To address this gap, Krista founded Absolute Health & Wellness Clinic to improve access to primary care for the Fresno community and surrounding areas.

I am terrified of getting my blood drawn. It’s so bad I dread going to the doctor. This office was incredible and the ladies sat with me and made me feel comfortable and took great care of me.
