Getting to know Kristie Allred

Kristie’s approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. She believes patients should feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. Integrating psychiatric medication management, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based treatment options, she works with each patient to develop a personalized plan that supports resilience, recovery, and lasting wellness. She has a special passion for maternal mental health and supporting women through pregnancy, the postpartum period, infertility, pregnancy loss, and the transition to parenthood. She finds working with children exceptionally rewarding. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Kristie provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and ketamine-assisted therapy for a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and trauma-related disorders. She works with patients in all stages of the life-cycle. Kristie believes mental health care should feel safe, compassionate and collaborative. She takes the time to truly listen, meet each person where they are, and create care plans that fit their unique needs. Whether supporting a child, parent, or adult, her goal is to help patients feel understood and hopeful. The Journey Within is lucky to have her on board!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work Monday through Friday, primarily in Springville, but with availability in Pleasant Grove on Wednesdays. As well as via telehealth. I use a flexible, individualized approach that meets you where you are. Sessions may incorporate practical skills, emotional processing, mindfulness, and trauma-informed techniques. When appropriate, I also involve family and loved ones, with the goal of creating a safe, supportive space where patients can better understand themselves and build lasting skills for wellness. The Journey Within makes things easy- they handle all insurance verifications and billing! Most patients can be seen for just their copayments. We have low-cost self-pay appointments and treatments, and offer in-house payment plans if needed. Our goal is to make mental healthcare accessible for all.
