Because we accept insurance, we can reduce out-of-pocket expenses and still offer high-quality care. You may not have any cost related to your visit with us, depending upon your insurance plan. Most patients pay a small copay per visit, subject to any deductible or coinsurance that your health plan has. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines appropriate billing guidelines. These guidelines depend on the length of the visit and the complexity and severity of your diagnosis. For this reason, we need to wait until after the visit for the final determination. We then submit the claim to your insurance company. The charges are calculated based upon pre-negotiated prices with your insurance company. Your insurance company will then determine what amount, if any, is your responsibility per your insurance plan.

The time was quoted in MT and I am on PST and didn’t realize it was an hour earlier until 5 min before the call.

Dr. Katz was very attentive and knowledgeable. I felt very heard during my appointment, not rushed at all. She had a deep understanding of the different medications for my anxiety and depression, I felt very comfortable with Dr. Katz as my provider. I would definitely recommend her!

I wrote in my questionnaire I was seeking treatment for bipolar. Had a full session only for the doctor to tell me they won’t treat bipolar. All that was offered was a referral to psychologytoday.com. Now I’m stuck with this bill and restarting at square one.

After some very bad experiences with other psychiatrists, finding Dr. Ratz was a breath of fresh air. Empathetic and a great listener, SUPER thorough screening, clear communication of her thought process on which medication she recommends, detailed explanation of possible side effects, all in all she is just GREAT! So happy to have found her and am looking forward to working with her long-term

Dr. Ratz was great at listening to my concerns and needs. Ultimately she determined that Talkiatry was not a good fit for my severe depression, and they generally are more equipped to handle mild to moderate depression. If you have complicated issues you should look elsewhere, but Dr. Ratz is very kind and honest.

This is more on ZocDoc rather than the doctor, but I was looking for someone who could prescribe medicine and provide talk therapy. I spent almost 40 minutes answering questions only to be told at the end that she only does medicine management. A waste of time unfortunately. Her profile should explicitly state that she only offers that.
