About Dr. Kristin Shields
Kristin Shields, MD, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2005. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2010. Following medical school, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maricopa Medical Center. Kristin is a junior fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Medical Association. Her specialties include minimally invasive surgeries with a focus on personalized medicine.

She has been practicing as a generalist OB/GYN and intensivist in a rural location for two years, treating a broad variety of women’s health concerns.
Outside of patient care, Kristin enjoys hiking and camping throughout the incredible wilderness Colorado has to offer, along with a deep appreciation for gardening. She has two energetic dogs who are spoiled rotten.
