About Dr. Ladan Straker
Ladan Straker, MD, FAAD received her dermatology training from the University of California, Los Angeles, and served as chief resident during her final year of residency. Prior to this she attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her internal medicine internship at Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Ladan Straker is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American academy of dermatology.
Dr. Straker provides a full range of dermatologic care including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services. She enjoys taking care of both adult and pediatric patients. She is passionate about cancer screening and the treatment of skin cancer and performs surgical excisions. Additionally, she treats a variety of medical conditions including acne, psoriasis, and eczema among various other conditions. Dr. Straker also performs a variety of cosmetic procedures including Botox, chemical peels, micro-needling and platelet-rich plasma. Her patient philosophy is to provide comprehensive care that takes into consideration the goals of her patients.
Dr. Straker was raised in Southern California. She graduated from the University of California Berkeley and majored in Public Health. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and outdoor activities such as hiking and biking.

I felt that the doctor was very knowledgeable, had good bed side manner and had helpful advice and a good treatment plan for me. But I did not appreciate that it took an entire hour until I got to see the doctor. That’s just ridiculous. Especially since I HAD an appointment.

Dr. Straker was so kind, helpful, informative, and caring towards my situation. She and her staff were wonderful and so sweet. Dr. Straker is so great! It was the first time in a while that I felt like the doctor I was seeing had time for me and wasn't in a huge rush. She made me feel like my concerns and medical needs were important. Dr. Straker made sure that all my questions were answered and that I felt completely comfortable. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a considerate and trustworthy dermatologist.

Waited 50 minutes before I went up to desk and asked what was happening. I didn't see the doctor for another 20 minutes. Doctor was great but the wait wasn't ideal nor did anyone seem concerned about being an hour behind schedule.

I hadn’t seen a dermatologist or had an annual skin screening done in well over a decade, but after years of severe sunburns and the appearance of many sun spots, freckles, moles, etc, I knew it was probably time for a visit. I appreciated that Dr. Straker had booking availability via ZocDoc and had a variety of appointment times available.
The office staff was very professional and friendly in getting me checked in and getting all of the new patient paperwork filled out.
Dr. Straker was very thorough with her exam, and really made it a point to capture baseline info and images on the variety of skin marks. I did have to have a few biopsies done while there, but they were quick and otherwise painless, and Dr. Straker explained next steps through the process. Her office was very quick in getting the results back to me, and made sure to schedule a follow up exam in a few months.
I definitely would recommend this provider to anyone looking for dermatology services??!

Dr. Straker was amazing! She took the time to talk to me about my options and provided her recommendation and was very open about the possible (but unlikely) negative outcomes.
