Lakhvinder “Sonu” Wadhwa, MD graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park in December 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He continued his education in the School of Medicine at the University Autonoma de Guadalajara and the School of Medicine at New York Medical College – Fifth Pathway Program in Valhalla, New York. Later, at Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education, Dr. Wadhwa was recognized as the Intern of the Year in 2002 while serving his residency at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Dr. Wadhwa specialized in internal medicine and completed his residency in July 2005. Dr. Wadhwa believes a patient-centered approach to healthcare leads to the best outcomes: treating patients with courtesy and respect, listening carefully, and explaining things in a way the patient can understand. He would love the opportunity to earn and maintain your trust. A long time resident of Maryland, Dr. Wadhwa is actively involved in his community. His personal interests include landscaping, gardening, hiking, and basketball.
