Lashondra Kale

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
TN
I'm LaShondra Kale, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and founder of Renewed Hope and Wellness. I bring over 13 years of nursing experience, including inpatient psychiatric care, to every patient relationship. I specialize in anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and sleep disturbances in teens (13+) and adults, including patients managing more than one condition at once. My approach combines medication management with evidence-based therapy techniques — including CBT, mindfulness-based strategies, and solution-focused approaches — so we're addressing root causes, not just symptoms. My goal is simple: to provide compassionate, personalized psychiatric care that evolves with you. That means real conversations, collaborative decision-making, and treatment plans built around your actual life — not a one-size-fits-all protocol. I practice entirely via telehealth, so you can get care from wherever you're most comfortable. I'm currently seeing patients in Connecticut, Iowa, Tennessee, and Texas, with flexible scheduling to fit your day. At this time, I do not prescribe controlled substances. I'd welcome the opportunity to work with you to renew hope and restore wellness.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is collaborative. I take time to understand what's actually going on in your life, not just your symptoms. We make treatment decisions together — I'll explain your options, answer your questions, and adjust the plan based on what's working for you. My style is warm, direct, and nonjudgmental.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A first visit is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation — we'll review your symptoms, history, medications, and goals so I understand the full picture before making recommendations. From there, we build a treatment plan together, which may include medication management, lifestyle changes, and therapy. I practice CBT, mindfulness-based, and solution-focused approaches, whether integrated with medication management or as part of your ongoing care. Follow-up visits are focused check-ins where we track progress and adjust the plan until we find what works. All visits are held via secure video.
