About Dr. Laura Chang
Dr. Laura Chang is a board certified dermatologist. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Biology and a certificate in Mandarin Chinese. She then went on to attend medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, during which time she completed an award-winning translational research project in cutaneous lupus. She was also a recipient of the Nancy P Bell, MD Memorial Prize in Dermatology from the Department of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania upon her graduation in 2009. She then completed a transitional year internship in internal medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and her dermatology residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center where she served as chief resident in her last year. Dr. Chang started her career in general dermatology in Pasadena, California, and has been practicing dermatology in Southern California for almost 10 years.
Dr. Laura Chang went into medicine because she wanted to help people and make a direct and personal impact in people's lives. She feels dermatology allows her to make such a positive impact by helping her patients improve and maintain their skin health as well as by even saving lives by detecting skin cancer early. She enjoys taking care of patients of all different ages as well as a wide variety of skin, hair and nail concerns. Her goal is to provide excellent, thorough, and personalized care for all her patients in a compassionate and professional manner.
Outside of her work, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with her two children and husband. She enjoys hiking, watching her children play at the local park, painting and taking her dog Minnie for an evening walk.
Dr. Chang is able to converse in Romanian, Mandarin Chinese and some Spanish. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Los Angeles Metropolitan Dermatological Society.

During my visit, Doctor Chang impressed me with her kindness and expertise. She took the time to educate me about my skin condition in a way that was easy to understand, and she discussed the treatment options with great knowledge and care.

I found Dr. Laura Chang on Zocdoc and booked the appointment for the next day.
I was greeted by the nice receptionist and felt welcomed right away. The PA Krista took me in and went over the reason of my visit skin issue/medical history and then Dr. Laura Chang came in and listened to my concerns and checked my skin carefully and recommended a biopsy. I am an anxious person with fear of any procedures but she reassured me and made me at ease. The biopsy was a breeze and I’m so glad I had it done.
I recommend Dr. Laura Chang and her amazing staff for your dermatological care! Also amazing office manager Azadouhi who explained my deductible and was very professional!

Dr. Laura Chang probably has the best bedside manner I've ever experienced frm any doctor. She remembered me frm my last visit & minor problem frm last year which was my 1st visit! She sat with me & discussed options for treatment for my current problem. And she stayed with me until undertood them all & made my choices. Dr. Chang is a always a real pleasure to see.

I felt more like a number than a patient here - the doctor seemed irritated and inconvenienced by my questions and did the bare minimum in order to get me out the door.

This office was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The parking was free. They were super efficient and all the details and paperwork were handled in less than 10 minutes. They accepted my insurance and paying my co-payment was super easy. The doctor was friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this office.
