“I was very nervous because I’m a college student from NY, so finding someone away from home to trust is very important for me. Thankfully, this practice was very professional and nice. The Dr listened to everything I asked and gave me great info. Will definitely be recommending her to everyone I know in the area. Couldn’t have been a better experience!”

About Dr. Laura Diaz
Laura Diaz, MD, provides obstetrics and gynecology care at Midwifery Women's Health Care located in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Diaz believes in shared decision-making when it comes to patient care and always strives for open communication with her patients to ensure all concerns are addressed. Dr. Diaz completed her undergraduate education at Florida International University and received her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She then completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UF Health in Jacksonville, where she gained clinical experience caring for a diverse patient population. Dr. Laura Diaz is a Colombian native, fluent in both English and Spanish. She is married and has two sons. She is happy to return to South Florida after completing her training and is excited to continue to provide excellent care to women in all stages of life.

This was my first and LAST appointment with Dr. Diaz. I was referred to her by my Mom who had nice things to say. Unfortunately the day I went, that was not the case. I got lost because the buildings are the same. I called the office three times. No one ever answered. I was not late to my apportionment. They however were one hour late. After waiting 45 minutes, I went up to see and was told they were “running behind”. The only friendly staff member in this office was the nurse who finally called me in one hour later. She asked exploratory questions and gave some feedback. When Dr. Diaz came in, it was awkward and almost as if she was reading from a script in her head. I felt like I was in the drive-through of some fast food chain. She gave me 2-3 minutes at most of her time. Zero personality. Zero bedside manner. I was just a box to check off her to do list for that day. I still don’t have the visit notes loaded in my chart and my appointment was a week ago.

I wish someone else at the service center spoke Spanish, because even though I'm studying English, communication is sometimes difficult or impossible.

Dr. Laura Diaz is a very pleasant and friendly doctor. She listened carefully to me, asked a lot of questions, and was telling me what she's going to do next.
What surprised me that she started her exam by listening to my heart and lungs with the stethoscope, and asked me about my abdominal scar that I got as a reminder of the surgery a long time ago.
I would recommend her very highly to all women looking for a reliable and attentive doctor.
