I use a patient-centered approach to care. I look at the whole patient and their concerns, and not just their diagnoses. I have experience treating patients ages 6 and up and have experience treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar, and many more. I also have a lot of experience with personality disorders, especially borderline personality disorder. I strive to create an open and honest environment for my patients, so they can feel safe to share with me. I find this extremely important to be able to best help my patients. I have had encounters with mental illness since a young age, and this has pushed me to want to make a difference in this field. I care about my patients and understand how hard it can be living with mental illness. I meet patients where they're at and allow them to assist in setting their goals. The first session is a "get to know you." I spend about an hour asking questions about Psychiatric history, family history, your personal life, and more to get an understanding of YOU so I can provide the best care possible.
