About Dr. Laura Sniper
Dr. Laura Sniper, DAc, LAc, LMT is a licensed acupuncturist joining the team at Atlantic Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. She brings a strong background in orthopedic care and pain management, along with a specialized holistic approach to treating internal health - whether that is gut, hormones, infl ammation, reproductive care, autoimmune conditions, mental health, and more.
Known for her gentle needling style and warm, engaging bedside manner, Dr. Laura prioritizes two thing the most: helping patients feel safe and comfortable, along with creating measurable treatment results. She has a problem-solving approach to your care, and is dedicated to working together with you towards long-term improvement and resilience.
Dr. Laura began her career as a medical massage therapist, specializing in structural integration and myofascial techniques to improve posture, body mechanics, and chronic pain patterns. This foundation informs her acupuncture practice today, where she focuses on both the treatment and prevention of pain, musculoskeletal conditions, and sports-related injuries. In addition to orthopedic care, she has extensive experience supporting patients with autoimmune conditions, chronic digestive disorders, women’s reproductive and hormonal health, and emotional and mental health concerns.
Dr. Laura earned both her Master of Science in Acupuncture and Doctorate of Science in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health & Science, where she received an Honorary Award for Academic Excellence. She holds Clean Needle Technique certification through the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (CCAHM).
Her work and expertise have been quoted in Vogue and featured by HigherDOSE, and she has served as a speaker on various panels discussing acupuncture’s role in fertility and mental healthcare. When she is not focusing on treating patients, Dr. Laura enjoys strength training at the gym, reading a good book, and practicing her daily journaling.
