Nurse Practitioner
4705 S N Carolina Hwy 150, Ste B & C, Lexington, NC
I was drawn to family medicine because of its diversity and complexity. No two patients are the same, and I appreciate the relationships that can be built over time. Seeing people through every stage of their lives, from childhood to their later years, is something I find deeply meaningful. My approach to healthcare starts with a simple idea: treat every patient the way you would want to be treated, or the way you would want your own family to be treated. I try to see each person as someone I already know. Education is a big part of what I do. I believe in meeting people where they are and helping them understand why certain steps matter for their health. Getting a patient to take some steps toward better health is always better than asking for everything at once and getting nothing at all. Outside of work, my life is full and busy in the best way. My husband and I have five children together: two sons, a daughter and his two daughters. We spend a lot of our time on our hobby farm, where we have 13 sheep, two horses, cows, two goats and a turkey (the goats and turkey are strictly pets). There is something really satisfying about working the land together and seeing all that effort pay off. We also have a passion for travel, and Africa is on our destination bucket list. Sports, especially football, and staying active, including hiking, are a big part of our family life. During summer months, we love hosting family and friends for pool parties and making the most of the warm weather.
