I love medicine. All medicine. I have been a practitioner in Women's Healthcare for over 20 years. I began my career as an RN in Brooklyn, working in labor and delivery. In my first delivery, I experienced the miracle when five people go into a room and six come out. From that moment, I knew I was meant to do this work. After moving back to California, I entered Harbor-UCLA to become a Women's Health nurse practitioner. I wanted to expand my skills to offer more comprehensive care. At first, I enjoyed the new freedoms my title gave me; however, I soon realized I didn’t have the whole picture. There was more to learn and give. I had known about acupuncture and alternative medicine since the early ’80s but hadn’t considered applying it to my patients. Then acupuncture interns from a local school began seeing patients at one of my clinics. I started referring patients to them for complaints my Western training hadn’t resolved. To my delight, they consistently got results. After a year of observing this, I decided to study Traditional Chinese Medicine to become a licensed acupuncturist. I earned my Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Emperor’s College in Culver City, CA. It has been an extraordinary journey, learning a new perspective on health from an Eastern point of view to enhance my Western medical training. My education also includes an Associate’s from Santa Monica College, a Bachelor’s from California State University, Northridge, and a certificate from UCLA. This journey has enriched my life and, I believe, my patients’ lives. I can now evaluate and treat patients more completely through acupuncture, herbs, and comprehensive lifestyle evaluation. My love for medicine will always lead me to provide the best and most comprehensive care. I look forward to helping you on your journey to radiant health and well-being.
