About Lauren Kershes

Philosophy of care I believe building relationships with patients is the key to conversations that foster healing and wellness. My approach is to prioritize lifestyle modifications to promote health. I strive to provide you with individualized and compassionate evidence-based care, along with educating you on your diagnosis and condition. Why I entered medicine As a young child I had a passion to care for others. My dad had major surgery when I was in 7th grade, and as I observed how the health care team cared for him, I knew I wanted to be a part of that. As I completed my science courses in high school, my passion to care for others and love for the sciences merged, and nursing became my obvious career path. Community involvement I serve at my church and its community outreach ministries on our health and wellness team. I also enjoy volunteering with my children's community sports teams and activities. Personal interests Outside of my career, my passion is spending time with family and friends. Along with my husband and two children, I love spending time outdoors, specifically in the Adirondacks, where we snowmobile in the winter. I have also enjoyed exploring Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where close family lives. I enjoy cooking and have recently began making sourdough bread at home.
