Lauren Sundergill, APRN, RN, NP

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
MD
"Hi! I'm Lauren, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Maryland. I believe that psychiatric medications can be used as tools to help you reach your goals, and are often needed to help people engage in therapy more easily. That being said, medication isn't for everyone! If you have questions or concerns about medications, I am happy to have an open discussion (or several!) about any concerns you may have. I have been a nurse since 2005. I have been a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since early 2022. I believe that because of my extensive and varied background in nursing, I am able to take a more holistic and whole-person approach to mental health treatment. My area of expertise is women’s mental health, and I hold a certification in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International. However, I am open to seeing all adults. Much of my outpatient work has been helping people to manage anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD, and I have extensive inpatient experience working with those with severe, chronic mental illness such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Together, we will develop a comprehensive plan so that you can get the tools you need to help you reach your goals. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help, and for that, I appreciate you. Please don't hesitate to reach out to see if we're a good fit."
