Getting to know Laurie Jean Baptiste
I am a dual-certified PMHNP licensed in PA, FL, and OR. I have experience treating mood and anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, eating disorders, trauma, substance use, bipolar disorder, psychosis, ADHD, and co-occurring medical/mental conditions.
My approach to care is collaborative and patient-centered. I believe in listening closely and working together to find the best plan that fits each person’s needs. In addition to psychiatric evaluations and medication management, I like to integrate brief cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive work, psychoanalysis, and motivational interviewing.
I most often work with individuals who are experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, trauma-related concerns, substance use, bipolar disorder, ADHD, sleep disorders, psychosis history, and co-occurring medical/mental conditions. I am comfortable treating both adults and adolescents, and I focus on helping patients manage symptoms while improving overall quality of life.
I aim to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where patients feel heard and respected. My tone is usually warm and collaborative, and I encourage open and transparent dialogue. Patients often describe working with me as feeling both supported and empowered, with space to be honest about challenges while also staying focused on progress and healing.
