About Dr. Laurie Lenz

Dr. Laurie Lenz is board-certified in both dermatology and internal medicine. She completed her undergraduate education at The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, graduating with a BS in biology. Dr. Lenz worked for several years in New Mexico and California as a cytogenetic technologist, helping diagnose genetic abnormalities in newborns and cancer patients. Driven by a strong desire to be directly involved in patient care, Dr. Lenz earned a medical degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She completed residencies in internal medicine and dermatology through the Palm Beach Center for Graduate Medical Education in West Palm Beach, Florida, serving as chief resident for both. When she is not working, Dr. Lenz spends her free time with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs.

I went in because of excess built up on my scalp and I wasn’t sure what it was. Dr. Lenz was very polite and listens to my concerns (with active listening skills) which allowed me to relax a bit. She thoroughly informed me on what she believes it is and offered Rx solutions. She also made it a point to discuss a follow up in the next 2 weeks (not a month) which was surprising considering I can’t even get in to see my primary without a 3 months waiting time. This was my first time at a dermatology office and I can say because of the experience of this office in general, I would recommend it.

I’ve been going here for many years. Every person in this location is a pleasure to see. Dr. Lenz is so great , I wish all my doctors were like her .Do not hesitate to book an appointment! You probably need to see a dermatologist if you live in South Florida. ;))

I’ve been to several Dermatologists and I have always left feeling as if my appointment was rushed and that there was no concern for the reason behind my visit. I have to say, my experience at Water’s Edge Dermatology, from the phone call making the appointment through my checking out and rescheduling was phenomenal!! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I saw Dr. Lenz and I have never had such a thorough visit like I did with her. She asked questions, listened, was informative and super detailed. She also made the experience comfortable and made sure that I understood everything for my treatment following my visit. I highly recommend this office to anyone!!
