Dr. Zou practiced in internal medicine at People's Hospital, Beijing, China until 1999 when she came to the U.S. to pursue postdoctoral fellowships in research. Dr. Lei Zou completed her general psychiatry residency training at Delaware Psychiatric Center between 2006 and 2009, then completed her Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship training at Yale Child Study Center between 2009 and 2011. Dr. Zou worked at St. Vincent Behavior Health inpatient setting as a staff psychiatrist for the mixed-age population between 2011 and 2012 and then took on the role of the Executive Medical Director at Child & adolescent IOP/PHP at Bridgeport Hospital in Yale New Haven Health. Concurrently, Dr. Zou set up an outpatient medication management service for Children & Adolescents in the system between 2012 and 2021. From 2021 to the present, Dr. Zou has been a psychiatrist attending on Adolescent inpatient unit at Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital.
