Nurse Practitioner
6480 Weddington Rd, Wesley Chapel, NC
A career in medicine felt like a natural fit from the start. My passion for biology and human history, paired with the deeply rewarding feeling of being able to help someone during a difficult and vulnerable time, made the path clear. Choosing primary care was equally intentional. My goal is to work with my patients to help them feel as well as possible so they can keep doing the things that matter most to them in their lives. Coming from a nursing background, I bring a holistic approach to every patient encounter. Mental and physical wellbeing are equally important to me, and I use a combination of lifestyle management and up-to-date medical care to treat illness and prevent the progression of chronic disease. My focus is on reducing exacerbations of chronic conditions through thoughtful, individualized care plans that reflect each patient's personal health goals. I believe that patients deserve to feel safe, well cared for and informed. Easy access to care matters, and so does transparency. I prioritize keeping my patients up to date on their health and current recommendations, and I always take their goals into account. Meeting people where they are in terms of making changes in their lives is something I take seriously. Real, lasting progress happens when care is built around the patient, not the other way around. One of my favorite parts of this work is the relationships I get to build with patients and their families over time. Those connections are at the heart of what primary care is all about.
