What is your typical process for working with clients?

At Polished Mind Psychiatry, we take a personalized, evidence-based approach to mental health care. Our goal is to create a supportive and collaborative environment where you feel heard and empowered in your treatment. 1. Initial Consultation (Comprehensive Evaluation) Your first appointment is all about getting to know you. We will: ? Discuss your medical and mental health history ? Talk about current symptoms and concerns ? Review past treatments (medications, therapy, etc.) ? Identify your goals for treatment ? Explore lifestyle factors that may impact your mental health At the end of this session, we’ll discuss treatment options, including medications, therapy referrals, and lifestyle recommendations. 2. Personalized Treatment Plan After your initial evaluation, we’ll create a tailored plan based on your unique needs. This may include: ?? Medication management (if appropriate) ?? Therapy referrals or recommendations ?? Lifestyle changes (sleep, nutrition, exercise) ?? Additional supportive treatments (supplements, alternative therapies, etc.) We believe in shared decision-making, so you’ll always have a say in your treatment. 3. Follow-Up Appointments & Ongoing Care Mental health treatment is an ongoing process, and we’ll regularly check in to: ?? Assess how you’re feeling & adjust treatment as needed ?? Monitor for side effects or medication effectiveness ?? Provide guidance on coping strategies & self-care ?? Make sure you feel supported throughout your journey The frequency of follow-ups depends on your individual needs, but typically: 1–2 weeks after a medication change for check-in Every 4–6 weeks for ongoing medication management As needed for additional support 4. Long-Term Wellness & Support Our goal is to help you not just feel better, but thrive. We’ll continue working with you to ensure long-term stability, personal growth, and improved quality of life. ??
