Dr. Kupferwasser has the distinction of being named Outstanding Fellow of the Year by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in two consecutive years. In 2003, he was awarded the International Aspirin Award in recognition for his research on Aspirin in Infective Endocarditis. As the result of his accomplishments, Dr. Kupferwasser's biography has been selected for inclusion in the 63rd edition of Marquis Who's Who in America, America's leading biographical reference publisher. Dr. Kupferwasser received his medical degree from the Johannes-Gutenberg University, Germany, and completed his residency at St. Mary Medical Center/Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He fulfilled his general and interventional cardiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is the proud father of a daughter and a son.
