Dr. Lesley Dawravoo is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She received her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. She finished her internal medicine residency at Loyola University Medical Center and went on to serve as Chief Resident for the Department of Internal Medicine. She completed her Gastroenterology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Dawravoo's clinical interests include Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Colon Cancer Screening, Liver Disease, GERD and GI issues of pregnancy. Dr. Dawravoo is committed to providing compassion and education to her patients while utilizing the most up to date treatments available.

Dr Dawravoo herself was wonderful. She was friendly and professional, and offered me a treatment solution that other doctors have not. Her office, though, is not well run. The young woman who works at the front desk was rude, and her staff didn't properly communicate to her that I was waiting in one of the rooms. My appointment was at 1pm, and she didn't come in to see me until 1:51pm. I was actually about to leave when I caught her. I'd still go back though; I liked her and her approach to treatment.

Dr. Dawravoo was very professional but at the same time,she was very in tune to how a patient feels emotionally. I personally do not enjoy doctor visits and this was the first time I actually felt comfortable and that my issues were addressed properly. I will keep her as my primary as long as possible.

Nice doctor, however, I went in to get treated but this doctor is located in a hospital and even tho she may take my insurance, the hospital does not. I went in for severe stomach pain, she wanted me to get lab work done and a catscan....however, her office doesn't do bloodwork so I had to find my own lab? No, I ended up in an ER instead at another hospital. Wasted my sick time at work just to be told what I already knew "your stomach is tender"...yes I know. I was looking for a doctor who would perform services like every other doctor I've ever been to had done, I've never been to a doctors office that doesn't take regular bloodwork or have a lab they test this so it becomes a patients responsibility . Again, she was nice but I need a doctor and not someone who just repeats what I'm saying. This is the reason people don't go to doctors, always seems like a waste of time.

Dr. Dawravoo is a very good listener. When you don't feel well for a very long time, you want answers. You want to inform the doctor as much as you can. Most doctors don't seem to be paying attention, interrupt you and push you out as quickly as possible. I am grateful that was not my experience with her.

Dr. Dawravoo was great - she listened to me, answered questions I had, and made decisions *with* me, not for me. I didn't feel pressured to follow a specific plan of action, and when I expressed some uncertainty, she suggested I think on it, rather than leaning on me to make a decision on the spot.

Afterward she provided written instructions and recommendations about next steps for me, which were clear and thorough. The office is very friendly and approachable, called me several times to confirm my appointment and even called when someone canceled to see if I can come earlier! Very satisfied!

Dr. Dawravoo really listened, and seemed to care about the symptoms that I was experiencing. She did not seem rushed to get through the consultation and made me feel like I was an important patient. I felt that she was committed to getting to the bottom of my issue and would strive to do so.
