I just moved to new york from a small town and have found the medical system here aggressively punitive. I was told on the phone they can do 3 month supplies for medication and at my appointment was told I need to come in once a month for medications I've been on for mental health for over half a decade.This policy failure, The monthly 30-day supply requirement is an unreasonable restriction and a clear example of stigma against mentally ill people, especially since these are not controlled substances I take. I provided the office with the last three doctors and signed releases, none of them were contacted. Knowing this office CAN and DOES provide 3 month supplies of medication points to a biased system that puts a burden on my care that would not otherwise be applied to a patient without a mental health diagnosis. It has caused severe distress as now the state has revoked my medicaid on an administrative error that will leave me without medication until my appeal can be processed.

form beforehand and listened to me explain my reason for the appointment. She took time with me. I felt heard. She also informed me of the steps I may take to improve my health. And, she is so personable, pleasant, courteous and easy to talk to. I highly recommend her.
