Lilian Ogujiofor, NP

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
PA
Dr. Ogujiofor is a certified registered nurse practitioner with dual board certification in psychiatric mental health and family medicine. She is a highly motivated, team-oriented, and compassionate provider with the goal of providing evidence-based and individualized mental health care for each patient. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from West Chester University in 2016 and obtained her MSN from La Salle University in 2013 as well as Post-Master's in PMHNP in 2021 from Regis College. My approach My approach is focused on providing person-centered evidence-based care that is tailored to each patient’s needs through the use of therapeutic communication skills. Also, I tend to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team to ensure that my patients receive quality care that will produce the best possible outcomes for optimal functioning. My focus My focused treatment areas include anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, ADHD, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and PTSD. My communication style Open-minded, empowering, motivational, and solution-oriented. I create an environment that is calm, warm, and conducive for healing to thrive. My journey to mental healthcare As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, I have worked in different settings treating patients with comorbid medical and mental health conditions. Working with patients in long-term care settings gave me the opportunity to take care of older adults with not only chronic medical conditions but also chronic mental health problems such as schizophrenia, bipolar, depression, and anxiety. Improperly managed mental health problems among this population tend to affect their stability and compliance with their medical management and as such require an advanced practice provider with in-debt knowledge of effective management of both disease conditions to prevent adverse outcomes and improve the quality of life of these individuals.
