About Dr. Lina Husienzad
Dr. Lina Husienzad is a New Jersey native who graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Upon graduating medical school she completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Medical Center and her Dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). While at UPMC she served as a leader of the Cosmetics Committee, and spearheaded a multitude of workshops for residents training in cosmetic procedures. She also participated in research projects during residency and wrote multiple chapters for a cutaneous lymphoma textbook, which she coauthored with the director of the Cutaneous Lymphoma Program at UPMC. She thrives in leadership roles, particularly those that empower female physicians, and serves on the Events Committee and the Residents, Fellows, and Young Physicians Committee in the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
“I make a point to connect with my patients, educate them on the disease, and work with them to construct a treatment plan, so that they can feel empowered during the treatment process.”
In her spare time Dr. Husienzad enjoys traveling, yoga, learning new languages, cooking, and spending time with family.

I really didn't feel that my eczema and allergy concerns were sufficiently addressed. They prescribed me the same steroid cream I already received from an urgent care near my home. No new recommendations were made, and no tests were ordered to determine any potential causes of my sensitive, eczema-prone skin.
