Having lived in Miami for over 20 years, she recognized the importance of patients feeling understood and became conversant in Spanish.

As a member of the Orlando Psychiatric Associates family, she has found a unique opportunity to reach people in need. She has a particular interest in finding the best treatment for everyone in a positive, professional, and caring manner. Performing a thorough psychiatric evaluation and creating an individualized treatment plan is the foundation of her treatment of patients. Taking into consideration medical needs and genetic background allows for the personalization of the treatment and long-term goals. She relies on therapists and other OPA team members to create the best environment for patient success. Her areas of interest include bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, major depression, adjustment disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, psychotic disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Before finding her dream job in psychiatry, she worked in a variety of specialties, such as neurology, pain management, aesthetics, and internal medicine. Additionally, she has written for the Rosh Review, an academic and didactic review that assists students in the field of medicine to achieve their goals. These experiences have granted her a unique perspective in her patients’ best management and treatment.

I will not be going back to see her. She added more medications when I told her I don’t want anymore. She said I had PTSD from the first minute. I’ve been seeing psychiatrists for 40 years and was never diagnosed with PTSD. But she wants me to take an anti psychotic and beta blocker for my severe anxiety

She really listened to what I had to say. She listened to my history and concerns. She answered all my questions, being very patient with me, and explained things clearly. We came out with a game plan for my diagnosis and treatment. I would highly recommend her.

She was a great Doctor, overall. My only issue was that I simply wanted to be put back on the same medication that I was prescribed for years prior to losing my health insurance… However, she refused and put me on medications that make me feel like a zombie and i am a single mother of 3 toddlers (2 of which are “special needs”) and the other medication she put me on is causing the weirdest side effects of my body swelling up and itchiness, with rashes and heavy bruising. Not positive it’s the medications side effects or a coincidence that this all began same time I started taking the medication… Ultimately, I’d rather not be used as a guinea pig with different medications when I already dealt with that years ago and my old dr and o found the perfect, useful and workable combination of medications… I wished she would have simply prescribed for me what I know works and what’s always worked for me instead…

Unfortunately, I did not have the sam experience as others did. Im newly diagnosed and needed guidance in treatment, but somehow I came out of it more confused and uncomfortable. She did not read my reports yet wanted to prescribe me meds anyways which did not sit well with me, and hardly asked questions. The whole ordeal was 20 minutes and I felt much worse. Will not be seeing her again.
