She attended University of California, San Diego for her Doctorate degree, followed by a five-year Otolaryngology/Head and Neck surgery Residency at Oregon Health Science University, followed by a one-year fellowship at the University of North Carolina. In her free time, Dr. Paulson enjoys foraging and cooking with the bountiful ingredients of Humboldt County, as well as travelling, painting, and hiking.
