Lourdes Figueroa-Corser, MD, is an Attending Physician, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Montefiore and a Clinical Instructor at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Since joining the Montefiore team in 2000, her clinical focus has been on general rehabilitation. In 1982, Dr. Figueroa-Corser received her Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of Puerto Rico. She then attended the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena, where she received her Doctor of Medicine in 1989. Dr. Figueroa-Corser’s postgraduate training began in 1995 with a year-long internship in internal medicine at the Metropolitan Hospital Center. Her training continued at Saint Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center with a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation, where she became Chief Resident during her final year in 1999. Dr. Figueroa-Corser is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
