About Dr. Luis Santana Lopez
I am a primary care physician at Memorial Healthcare System, board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. I care for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, and obesity, among many others. While I enjoy working with all age groups, I have a particular passion for caring for geriatric patients.
I graduated from Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de la Habana and completed my residency in Internal Medicine at Interfaith Medical Center. I have been practicing medicine for more than 20 years and treasure the opportunity to help patients heal and provide comfort during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
Since most of my patients live with chronic conditions, I have had the privilege of getting to know them personally over the years. My approach is always to respect my patients' medical priorities and work with them to establish a plan to maintain or regain their health. I am also committed to collaborating with patients' families to achieve the highest standard of care and quality of service.
In addition to caring for patients, I serve as an assistant professor at Florida International University.

I tried to get into my appt for a long time it wouldn't work and then got a message saying the provider was running late and I wasn't able to get the appt app thing to work. I didn't get to see him he may be a great doctor but I couldn't get the app to work right
