Dr. Madiha Ashraf is a board-certified infectious disease specialist with over a decade of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of complex infections. Dr. Ashraf graduated from The Aga Khan University in 2005, one of the most prestigious medical institutions in Pakistan. She completed her residency in internal medicine at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX from 2007 to 2010, followed by a fellowship in infectious diseases at The University of Houston from 2010 to 2012. She went on to serve as an Infectious Diseases consultant and Assistant Professor of Medicine at The Methodist Hospital, where she trained students from Weill Cornell University and Texas A&M, as well as residents from Methodist's own robust program. From 2012 to 2022, Dr. Ashraf was deeply engaged in academic medicine and frontline care, including critical involvement during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was the principal investigator and co-author of two clinical studies on COVID-19 treatments involving oral favipiravir and convalescent plasma therapy. Dr. Ashraf brings extensive clinical expertise and a commitment to evidence-based infectious disease care to CLS Health. Outside of medicine, she enjoys cooking and traveling with her husband and three children.
