About Dr. Maged Boutros
Maged Boutros, MD, is the CEO and Medical Director of Prevention Clinics. He is an obesity board-certified physician and a board-certified internist who founded Prevention Clinics, with locations in Maywood and Clifton, New Jersey.
Dr. Boutros developed a deep interest in integrative medicine and obesity medicine during his fourth year of practice while completing his fellowship in anti-aging and integrative medicine. In addition to being a caring and approachable physician, he is a dynamic leader who serves on multiple hospital committees to help implement positive change.
With nearly 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Boutros has assisted over 15,000 patients since 2003. Since 2006, the weight loss program at Prevention Clinics has successfully treated many patients. He continues to use evidence-based research to refine and improve treatment programs.
Dr. Boutros is well versed in obesity medications and treats patients across New Jersey, including Bergen County, Clifton, Maywood, Hackensack, Paramus, Passaic, and surrounding areas. He is experienced in managing complex cases.
Prevention Clinics offers comprehensive, sustainable weight loss and maintenance programs, including lifestyle modification, appetite suppressants, GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic, Mounjaro, Tirzepatide, Zepbound, and Wegovy, as well as nutritional plans, protein products, nutraceuticals, and supplements.
Dr. Boutros earned his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine primary care at Hackensack UMC Mountainside. He further advanced his training with a fellowship in integrative medicine and holds multiple board certifications.
He is committed to providing optimal medical care using a multidisciplinary approach, helping patients return to their daily activities and maintain long-term health. His treatment methods follow established medical protocols and standards of care.
