Dr. Parikh has been a Castle-Connolly Best Doctor in NY for the past 20 years and returns to the Weill Cornell Medicine Facult where he will serve as assistant professor of medicine after over a decade at NYP-Columbia University Irving Medical Center."We are excited to have Dr. Parikh lead our Division of Cardiology,” said Robert Guimento, president of NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. “Dr. Parikh is an outstanding leader who is dedicated to educating the next generation of physicians, providing the highest quality care to our patients, and increasing access to world-class cardiovascular care in our communities."Dr. Parikh will lead NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital's Division of Cardiology, which offers treatment of a broad array of heart conditions, including complex coronary artery disease, structural and valvular heart disease, advanced heart failure and complex arrhythmias. Under Dr. Parikh's leadership, NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital will expand its offerings in complex coronary care and heart failure, among other areas. For the past 10 years, Dr. Parikh has been an associate professor of medicine, the associate director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory, and director of business development at the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
