I utilize many approaches when providing mental healthcare. Theories that I base my practice on are behaviorism, biological, cognitive, humanistic, and positive psychology. Evidence-based practice is the leading key component of my practice. Therapies that I incorporate into my practice are cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing, and supportive psychotherapy just to name a few. Diagnoses that I typically work with are anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, binge eating disorder, psychotic disorders, autism, and ADHD just to name a few. The tone/environment that I create for my sessions is a relaxing and therapeutic tone/environment. I speak in a low and calming voice. Many patients describe my voice as relaxing. I strive to create the feeling of an oasis during each session. Goal setting with patients is always patient-centered. I want all of my patients to always feel seen and heard. I do not make any decisions without the approval or acknowledgement of my patients. I provide thorough education when my patients and I are making clinical decisions.
