About Dr. Marc Itskowitz

Dr. Itskowitz cares for individuals with chronic conditions or those suffering from acute illnesses or injuries. As the Director of Perioperative Medicine Center, he works with patients, surgeons, and anesthesiologists to prepare patients for elective surgeries. Dr. Itskowitz consults on the use of medications before and after surgery, as well as managing follow-up care for patients with unique risk factors or special needs. Dr. Itskowitz earned his degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed his residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He is an associate professor of medicine at Temple University School of Medicine and assistant professor of medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Itskowitz was named one of Pittsburgh Magazine's "Best Doctors" in 2019.
