I saw Dr. Haro as a second opinion regarding knee pain. He was extremely thorough. He spent a great deal of time with me explaining my MRI and X-rays to communicate exactly what was causing my pain. I really appreciated the time he took to make me feel confident in his diagnosis.

Dr. Marc S. Haro is an ABOS-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopy or minimally invasive surgery. He has an interest in all sports or activity-related injuries; in particular complex knee injuries, knee ligament injuries, cartilage disorders, as well as shoulder injuries.
He obtained his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, graduated from a residency in orthopaedics at the University of Virginia, and completed the prestigious sports medicine fellowship at Rush University in Chicago.
Dr. Haro’s “on the field” experience includes working with the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago White Sox, as well as the athletic departments of Purdue University, University of Virginia, James Madison University, DePaul University and Wabash College. He is the author of numerous journal articles and medical textbook chapters reporting on his findings in basic science and clinical research.
Dr Haro previously worked at MUSC In Charleston and after a few years of practice at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, he decided to bring his family home to Mt. Pleasant.
He has now joined the team at Southeastern Orthopedics Institute to work in conjunction with the spine specialists at The Southeastern Spine Institute, providing patients with the highest level of orthopaedic care.

Would highly recommend. The nurse, PA and Dr were all extremely nice and communicated clearly. I was seen quickly. The dr was thorough in my exam and In explaining my injury and follow up treatment.
