Dr. Vander Vliet (“Doc Evert”) is a dual board-certified Internal Medicine and Palliative Medicine physician. He received his medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at DMC-Wayne State University School of Medicine and palliative medicine fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital-Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has spent the last several years serving as a palliative medical specialist both in the hospital helping a wide variety of patients with complex illness and in an outpatient setting working with cancer patients. He is excited to return to providing primary care as a visiting physician where he believes palliative care compassionately practiced can have the greatest impact.
